Gala tickets are going fast- we hope you’ve reserved yours? Our gala event supports our robust Educational Outreach program. With your support, we offer:

🎶The BCSO presents a Family Concert each December, with music selected especially for families with school-age children. This concert features student musicians from our local schools, including elementary and middle school string players, band members, and choruses.

🎹A Youth Concerto Competition is sponsored each spring for aspiring young artists. The winner of this competition receives the Jeanne Marvin Phillips Prize and an invitation to perform with the BCSO in the Family Concert.

🎻The Helen Buckman Award is presented each year to an outstanding orchestra musician in each of the three high schools in the Central Bucks School District.

🎼Our guest artists present an outreach visit annually to one or more of our local schools.

🎟️All students are admitted free of charge to the Family Concert and all three subscription concerts.

You've heard of spring cleaning, but we are all about summer cleaning. Thanks to an amazing team of volunteers, our music library got a complete overhaul. Old filing cabinets were replaced with new properly-sized cabinets that look great and are much more functional. The team sorted, labeled, and placed about 500 titles into new envelopes. The library now has room for growth and our music is protected for seasons to come.

Thanks to the team, including Jaime Knobler, Beth Clark, Suzanne Greene, Mark Appiotti, Tom Stoehr, Erica Stockton, and Josh Hadfield. We are SO thankful to our hosts, Malmark Bellcraftsmen and the help of their amazing people.
