Not the glamorous, aspirational New York of postcards or Hollywood movies, but the ๐˜ž๐˜Œ๐˜๐˜™๐˜‹ New York; the unpredictable New York. The New York where a perfectly ordinary evening can spiral into utter madness after midnight.

Shot on location throughout lower Manhattan, the film transforms SoHo into a labyrinth of artists, insomniacs, bartenders, punks, thieves, and assorted creatures of the night. The city becomes less a setting than an active participant in the chaos.

Itโ€™s a time capsule of a vanished New York, and one of the funniest urban nightmares ever put on film.

We still have some seats left for our Third Thursday screening at this week, so grab โ€˜em at the link in our bio before theyโ€™re gone!

Released in 1985, the film swaps gangsters and grand ambitions for a single sleepless night of escalating chaos. Every encounter makes things worse; every attempt to get home backfires spectacularly.
Itโ€™s lean, strange, relentlessly funny, and unlike anything else in Scorseseโ€™s filmography.

If youโ€™ve somehow missed it, youโ€™re in for a treat. If youโ€™ve seen it before, you already know: things can always get worse.

Watch it with us at NEXT THURSDAY, June 18! Reserve your seats at the ticket link in our bio.

Donโ€™t miss your chance to catch one of the funniest, strangest, and most underrated films in Martin Scorseseโ€™s career on the screen! ๐€๐…๐“๐„๐‘ ๐‡๐Ž๐”๐‘๐’ is a downtown nightmare that only gets better when experienced with a crowd.

Mark your calendars, share with friends, & reserve your seats at the link in our bio.

What begins as an awkward date quickly snowballs into one catastrophe after another for pencil pusher Paul Hackett. Lost downtown with no money, no transportation, and increasingly suspicious strangers around every corner, heโ€™s trapped in a situation that somehow becomes more ridiculous every 10 minutes.

Decades before cringe comedy became a genre, ๐˜ˆ๐˜ง๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ด perfected the art of watching someone desperately try โ€” and repeatedly fail โ€” to escape a series of increasingly absurd situations. The result is one of the most anxiety-inducing comedies ever made.

Join us at on Thursday, 6/18, for a special one-night-only screening of one of Martin Scorseseโ€™s most underrated films!

๐‰๐”๐๐„ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ–: If last month was community theater optimism, this month is pure downtown chaos. Join us at as we continue our twelfth season with Martin Scorseseโ€™s cult-favorite neo-noir/black comedy ๐€๐…๐“๐„๐‘ ๐‡๐Ž๐”๐‘๐’.

A delirious blend of black comedy, urban paranoia, and Kafkaesque misfortune, ๐˜ˆ๐˜ง๐˜ต๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ณ๐˜ด follows mild-mannered office drone Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) as a late-night trip to downtown Manhattan spirals into an increasingly surreal odyssey of missed connections, bizarre encounters, and escalating bad luck.

Transforming 1980s New York into a labyrinth of anxiety and absurdity, the film is equal parts nightmare and screwball comedy, and it remains one of the most distinctive (and underrated) films of Scorseseโ€™s career.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Beer/wine/concessions are available in Green Lightโ€™s lobby; you can also grab dinner next door at Green Light Lounge + Kitchen! Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the box office or the link below or in our bio.

Our Third Thursday screening events tend to sell out, so reserve your seats now!
