Santa María de Montserrat no is a Benedictine monastery in Catalonia Spain. The basilica inside the monastery houses a 12th-century statue of the Black Virgin, known as La Moreneta (the Black Madonna. We arrived during all Saints Day on November 1st. The monastery was full of people lighting candles for loved ones, mass was in session, and there was a wait to see the Virgin.
