Summer is starting to give way to fall, and you can feel the change in the light.

The evenings get a little cooler, the colors start to shift, and everything feels like it's moving into a new season. For me, it's one of the best times of year to get outside and photograph people while the scenery is changing around them.

Looking back at Kaylee and Garrett's wedding is a reminder of how quickly a wedding day becomes a memory.

The beautiful greenery, the quiet and peaceful moments throughout the day, and all of the laughter and celebration in between made this one such a joy to photograph.

If you're wondering whether an engagement session is worth adding to your wedding plans, my answer is always yes.

It's a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, figure out what feels natural for you as a couple, and spend some time getting to know your photographer before the wedding day. By the time your wedding arrives, being photographed won't feel quite so unfamiliar.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned after photographing weddings is that the best images happen when you're simply enjoying the day.

You don't need to worry about posing perfectly or wondering where to look. That's my job. Your job is to be present, celebrate with the people you love, and soak in every moment.

A wedding day moves quickly, but bridal portraits are a chance to slow everything down for just a few minutes.

Away from the timeline and the celebration, there's space to take it all in. Those quiet moments often become some of the most timeless photographs from the day, capturing not only how you looked, but how you felt as you stepped into a new chapter.
