Three new workshops are here for October.

Roll and stamp your own charcuterie board, sculpt a clay mask with real presence, or learn underglaze transfers by building your own design on tiles. Each one is a single session, all materials, firing and glazing included.

Charcuterie Boards: Tuesday, Oct 20, 5:30pm

Clay Masks: Saturday, Oct 27, 5:30pm

Underglaze Transfer Tiles: Wednesday, Oct 28, 5:30pm

October classes at Clay Center are up and it’s a full month!

If you’ve been wanting to try the wheel, we’ve got a few ways in. Date Night on the Wheel runs every Thursday and is a fun, low pressure way to spend an evening, whether you’re coming with a partner or a friend. Daytime on the Wheel is back too, once on a Wednesday and twice on Sundays, perfect if evenings don’t work for your schedule.

For anyone ready for a bigger commitment, our 4 week wheel classes run Mondays and Wednesdays this month. Same small group, same time each week, and by the end you’ll actually know your way around the wheel.

We’re also trying something new with three workshops this month. Charcuterie Boards on the 20th, Clay Masks on the 27th, and Underglaze Transfers on the 28th, each a one time class if you want to explore a different side of working with clay.

And for our youngest artists, we have one kids class this month, Wheel Throwing for ages 7 and up on October 10th.

Wheel throwing and hand building for kids, every month.

Kids get to slow down, get their hands messy, and make something entirely their own. It builds focus, patience, and a real sense of pride in finishing something they created.

Whether your kid loves building things, is naturally artistic, or just needs a new hobby to get excited about, this is a great place to start. No experience needed and our instructors make it fun from minute one.

Next class is Saturday September 12th. One wheel session and one hand building session offered monthly, ages 7 and up.

Sunday’s 4 week wheel class with Karson is already full, but Monday still has spots and starts September 7. Hand building is back on the 8th and 22nd, plus Try the Wheel nights, Date Nights every Thursday, and kids wheel throwing on Saturdays.

August is almost here and 4 week classes start in 1 week on Monday August 3rd!

Try the Wheel Night and our first Date Night of the month are already sold out, so don’t wait on the rest.

4 week wheel throwing on Mondays, Emily’s hand building on Tuesdays, Niko’s 2 week mug class mid month on Wednesday, social nights Tuesdays and Thursdays, and kids classes back on Saturdays.

When we started the Clay Center, we had an empty room and a question. What do you do with space like this?

The answer turned out to be people. Hands learning the wheel for the first time. Friends laughing over hand building. Strangers becoming regulars. A room full of half finished bowls and full attention.

This is what we built it for. Not just a studio, a place to slow down, make something real, and be around people doing the same.

Flagstaff, this is your clay community. Come be part of it.
