Wendi Jensen and her team provide lessons for your artsy student on a weekly basis. They specialize in honing the skills of aspiring artists with classical training in a variety of media.

Two of our students entered work into the “Scrumptious” show at CAL and were accepted! So proud of them! 🥰I’ve had the honor of working with Lux since 2nd grade (back when we were making art in my basement!) It’s been a beautiful privilege to watch Lux grow into this amazing, multifaceted artist! Linda has worked with Michelle in the adult watercolor classes. She is definitely gifted!
Truly, I can’t think of anything I’d rather do than watch our birds spread their wings, gosh dang it 🥲🥲🥲🥹.

December was our month to study Grandma Moses and draw animals in her honor. She was a folk artist born in rural New York State. She was self taught and discovered in her 70’s by an art dealer who happened upon her paintings in a small town drug store. She sold them for $3/painting and they came with a free jar of her homemade jelly. The art dealer bought every single painting she had and had a show for her in NY city. She became a Hallmark artist, her paintings gracing many cards and calendars. She became hugely famous and painted until her death at age 101.
Our students used prismacolor colored pencils and fabric scraps for a background. (Nod to Grandma Moses’s folk art style).

Behind the scenes, what you don’t see!
We recycle ♻️ so much around here. Even the dried up clay. It’s a disgusting process, not gonna lie. But it’s a great way to be environmentally friendly, and cut costs on our small business.
Step 1. Put dried up clay and water into a bucket, let soak for awhile.
Step 2. Stir it up (drill and concrete mixing attachment helps!)
Step 3. Get in there with your hands
Step 4. Pour out onto canvas to pull moisture out. Add holes.
