Changed my mind about this fairy. Erasing it because I felt the painting was too busy. But I wanted to share her before she’s gone forever.

What conversation do you think is happening between this crow and woman?

For me I think the woman has a question and is seeking guidance from the crow. I’m not sure if she’ll like his answer.

What do we think about this one?

I think I want to paint more dead and hollow trees.

I am back in the studio tonight making more mini watercolor paintings!

I took a break from posting last week. I felt the need to slow down and just be.

The Spokane fires really hit close to home. I could feel the ripple of its impact through the community and my loved ones. My heart has been with all those affected. I grieve with you.
But I’m very proud to call Spokane my neighbor. Watching your community rally has been an awesome inspiration.

❤️

I’ve been sitting here thinking about how I can help with the fires in Spokane and the families who have been displaced or have lost their homes.

Spokane has always held a special place in my heart. It’s where I grew up, and it’s where my mom was the Administrative Director for the Spokane Valley Fire Department for 22 years. If she were here today, I have no doubt she’d be on the front lines, volunteering her time and doing whatever she could to help. She had such a heart for serving, both in and out of her job.

In honor of her, I’ll be baking fresh sourdough bread and comforting treats to take to the Spokane Valley Fire Department. I know she would have loved that.

I’m also looking into baking for one of the assisted living communities that was displaced—bringing warm bread, baked goods, and handmade creams for the women as a small gesture of comfort. I’ll be calling first to make sure it’s appropriate and to find out what would be most helpful. I’m also considering the displaced veterans, but I want to make sure any help I offer is truly needed and doesn’t create more work for those already responding.

If you have ideas on where homemade food or small comfort items would be most appreciated, I’d truly love your input. I want to be a help—not be in the way.

If you’d like to help me cover the cost of ingredients and supplies, you’re welcome to contribute through my Venmo:

If you have personally been affected by the fire and need clothing, food, pet food, a hot shower, blankets, or simply just want some warm bread and comforting homemade goods - private message me and I will happily get them to you ❤️

Every dollar will go toward baking and delivering food and comfort items to those affected. Thank you all. ❤️

Please keep our community in your thoughts and prayers!
