6-8 passionate brewers each bringing gallons of their wide variety, creative and home craft beers. Also loads of fun to talk with and hear about their brews from ingredients, process and equipment.

They typically will hold a contest allowing our participants to vote and select their favorite home brew for the brewfest.

Burning Barrel Brewing Co is joining the Downieville Mountain Brewfest this year!

Burning Barrel Brewing Company was founded down the hill in Rancho Cordova, California, in July 2018 by the father-and-son duo Jack and Duncan Alexander.

They opened the brewery without outside investors, funding the startup through extensive planning and personal savings.

The name "Burning Barrel" was chosen because Duncan wanted something aggressive and memorable that wasn’t strictly confined to beer, though it evokes the imagery of wood-aged barrels.

Look forward to sampling their brew this Saturday, September 12th, 2028. A burning desire.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co is rejoining the Downieville Mountain Brewfest this year! Excellent!
They may be the brew vendor traveling the furthest for our event this year, which is greatly appreciated!!

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. was founded in 2010 in Buellton, California, by the father-and-son team Jim and Jaime Dietenhofer. The brewery takes its name from the 4,500-foot Figueroa Mountain, a prominent peak overlooking the Santa Ynez Valley that was visible from the family's home in Los Olivos, California.

Thrilled to report the ATM in Downieville is back in operation and has cash 💰 for our upcoming Brewfest, Saturday September 12, 2026.

A thank you and shout to Sierra Hardware!!

The ATM is in place and the Wells Fargo reps said it should have cash in it by about midday tomorrow. Hopefully it will actually work! It’s quite tall and barely fit, but hopefully with the overhang and the recessed front panel it will make it easier for customers to complete their banking without glare. We shall see.

Three Forks Bakery & Brewing Co will be in this year's lineup at the Downieville Mountain Brewfest, Saturday, September 12, 2026. They have been a solid staple at our brewfests, in fact, I don't believe they have ever missed attending over this last decade!

Auburn Alehouse Craft Brewery & Restaurant is a nod to historic roots with their Ale House in Auburn being the site of the long-standing Shanghai Restaurant and bar from 1896 to 2005 with exposed brick and tin ceilings bearing real historical bullet holes from its rowdier saloon days.

On Saturday, September 12th, 2026 Auburn Alehouse packs up some of their fine brew and makes the trek to Downieville for our annual Downieville Mountain Brewfest.
