'Her Breakfast Sanctuary'

In morning's embrace, she savors sweet respite,
Beneath shadows cast, she relishes the light.

With each sip of coffee, her spirit awakes,
As morning breeze whispers, a symphony it makes.

Golden sunlight dances on her humble abode,
Her heart, a sanctuary where love has flowed.

Aromas of soul food fill the tranquil air,
Nourishing her body, her burdens they repair.

Her hands, skilled and steady, create a masterpiece,
A feast for the senses, where worries find release.

Her skillet sings melodies of sizzling delight,
Magic infused in morsels, each bite taking flight.

On her table, stories of heritage unfold,
Recipes handed down, a treasure to behold.

She sips coffee, her mind wanders to the past,
Where ancestors' strength resonates steadfast.

In this moment, she claims her rightful place,
African rhythms coursing through her veins with grace.

Her breakfast sanctuary, a haven she adores,
Where she revels in peace, where her spirit soars.

Harmonizing with the morning's grace and hue,
Her breakfast table embodies dreams come true.

As the world outside buzzes, she finds her serenity,
In mornings still and sacred, where she is free.

'In Chains No More'
a poem by me,

Chains of iron bind my weary soul,
Captured, I board the vessel of dread.
My spirit screams, longing for parole,
As the ocean's waves beneath me spread.

A prisoner confined, I feel the pain,
Bound in darkness, cruel fate dealt its blow.
Yet in this wretched plight, hope remains,
For even chained, my spirit still can grow.

I looked at another man and he looked at me,
We were of the same tribe with the same mind.
We would grab that man who has the key,
It will start when he walks by.

Our chance came later, the man walked down,
I gave him a blow, he fell over into a brother.
Before he could scream, or make a sound,
He was dead and the key, had just been discovered.

In stealth, we move through this vessel of dread, Freeing each person, some have already passed.
The key whispered secrets, to our arms and legs,
The chains were dissolving we were free at last.

With unity's embrace, we moved to the light,
Humanity unchained, it was time to fight on.
I lead the men out, we were ready for a fight,
There were only three left, with their pistols drawn.

I went for a man, he shot me in the arm,
My brother came after me, and grabbed for the gun.
More came up from the bottom, now it's a swarm,
They were killed quickly, our eyes squinting in sun.

We don't know where we are, water surrounded us,
We just knew we were free, the ocean now a door.
We feel relieved about it, and know who to trust,
We are headed back home now, In chains no more.

'We Must' by

We cannot be stuck in bo***ge,
We cannot be stuck in the past,
We must keep it moving,
We must make it last,
We must lift ourselves up,
We must hold each other down,
We must want to grow up,
We must lift our own sound,
We must love one another,
We must care for our brother,
We must protect our sister,
We must be our own lover,
We must choose to be correct,
We must show we will never quit,
We must believe in our Creator,
We must build up our spirit,
We must have a vision of our future,
We must understand our past,
We must make it happen,
We must, We must, at last.

THE TAX SYSTEM By

The tax system, unjustly coined,
By hands of lawmakers, deployed.
Their biases and plots ensnared,
In webs of rules, unfairness snares.

We search for equity, hope misplaced,
In labyrinthine codes, interlaced.
Each regulation, a twisted thread,
Designed to benefit their own instead.

The wealthy few, with clever glide,
Through loopholes, they nimbly stride.
While burdened shoulders, strained and weak,
Bend beneath the weight, clenched teeth in critique.

In halls of power, decisions sway,
Their pockets fattened, without delay.
But for the rest, the common class,
What's earned is claimed, by hands amassed.

Avarice staining the halls of might,
The rightful claimants, left in plight.
An imbalance woven, with cruel intent,
While promises of fairness were truly meant.

Yet still, we march, in defiance rise,
Unyielding voices, our newfound prize.
For we shall hold them to account,
With unity, our strength shall mount.

Their laws shall bow to justice's reign,
The tax system shall no longer drain.
But for now, we struggle, sleeves rolled high,
To lift the heavy weight, reach the sky.

For the unfairness lies not in stone,
But grows within minds, seeds wrongly sown.
And as we strive to rectify,
May fairness and equality draw nigh.

DISCOVER THE INNER TRUTH BY The Amazing Anthology of Earl Cooke

When you feel that people don't understand,
Just focus on understanding yourself,
And it will all become clear, my dear.

The chaos that swirls around you,
Blurring lines between what's false and true,
Silence the voices, inside you listen,
Discover the inner truth that glistens.

For only you know your deepest desires,
The sparks that ignite your internal fires,
Embrace the solitude, commune with your soul,
And watch as the puzzle pieces unfold.

Let judgment fade and opinions subside,
Only then will authenticity reside,
In a world of masks, dare to be real,
Unveiling layers, allowing wounds to heal.

In self-reflection, truth shall arise,
As answers unravel in silent sighs,
For understanding, seek within your core,
And drown out the noise that may abhor.

With each breath, let self-acceptance bloom,
Embrace imperfections, banish self-doom,
For the beauty of your essence knows no bounds,
A kaleidoscope of colors, profound.

When others fail to grasp your story,
Don't despair or chase after glory,
In self-awareness, find your own embrace,
A sanctuary where understanding takes place.

So, when you feel misunderstood, my friend,
Remember to focus on your journey's bend,
For in the depths of your being so vast,
You hold the key to a clarity so vast.

'THEIR WOUNDS THE CATALYST'
by

In shadows dwell a system, askew and bent,
Its edges frayed and morals twisted, unmeant.
Yet victims bear the torch to ignite its flame,
For they alone carry the power to reclaim.
With voices intertwined, injustice they'll defy,
Shattered chains of corruption, no longer deny.
Their wounds the catalyst, for justice to regain.

BACK AND FORTH ABOUT LIBERTY by

Fireworks light up the sky, red, white, and blue,
As we honor our nation, being born anew.
Freedom's triumph, independence proclaims,
On the fourth of July, America's fame....

But are we free where masses of people are homeless on the street? Should we celebrate when the national debt has gotten to dangerous levels and no change is in sight? Are we truly Independent if the PRIVATE BANKERS control our National Currency and control our mortgage rates too?? But...

Freedom's birth, is a day we cheer,
Flags get unfurled, hearts are drawn near.
Remembering Revolution's fire sparked anew,
July Fourth, celebrating a nation's debut.

But what would the founders say about us joining NATO, and the UN? Would they be amazed by how many wars we have been drawn in? Would they be happy about weapons of mass destruction? But, let me get back to the celebration...

As Liberty's torch ignites the sky,
United we stand, as spirits fly.
Independence won, a glorious fight,
Fourth of July, our sacred right. 😎 πŸ—½

'Chapters in my life' Poem by

A life without her nurturing touch
Growing up without my mother’s clutch
Struggles and milestones, all alone
Maturity from a tender age shown
Memories of her are distant and few
But her spirit, within me, continues to brew
I carry it with me, in my heart and mind
At times overwhelming, but a bond that binds.

Falsely accused, my soul in chains
Family's trust, irreparably waned
The Justice system failed, but I bear the blame
Freedom lost, a lifetime of shame
What was the reason, I was moving so fast
But it was just a season and something to move past
I learned my lesson, you can't play the fool
These 'chapters in my life' has taught me what to do

"My Path To GOD" by

Choosing a path that's right,
Filling my heart with pure delight.
The weight lifted from my soul,
I'm ushering in a new role.

The power to decide,
Brings a sense of pride.
We are the masters of our own fate,
With joy, I'm embracing my new state.

A choice not made swiftly, just tired of iniquity
A life filled with hesitation, but finally no uncertainty.
My path to GOD is chosen with certainty,
There is joy from making a decision that sets you free.

Surrender your heart, To the One above
Embrace grace And His boundless love
Best decision made, Peace and joy was bestowed
Surrender our lives to the path Jesus showed.

A short poem called " A Perfect Fit"

Society's expectations can be tough,
Trying to fit in can be rough.
Just be cool with nerves of steel,
Who cares what they think, You're a big deal!

Fitting in can definitely be a test,
With a lot of pressure to impress.
But don't forget, you're at your best,
You are a perfect fit, nothing less.

'Raising A Son'

Raising a son, a cherished role to fulfill,
Yet not without struggles, it's definitely uphill.

Wishing for more time, but the day is done,
Heart aches for missed opportunities, more than one.

Longing to provide, to comfort, to protect,
But strength and endurance, just don't intersect.

Taking care of your son, it's a test of might,
Still, all is worth it, for love's eternal light.
