Among other things, this practice has created a feeling of luxury in the way I move. Rather than creating beautiful movements that felt painful, I can create beautiful movement that feels beautiful. Not just in dance, but in walking, sitting, standing, my yoga practice, gardening, blow drying my hair, carrying laundry up and down stairs, raking leaves, climbing ladders and scrunching myself over the arm of the sofa and around the back of the Christmas tree to plug and unplug the lights!
How We Move: I love how the ways we work with ourselves in class begin to reverberate throughout our lives. For many it means moving more slowly, doing less and sensing more! For most, this is something new.
