I created these pet sympathy cards because I wanted something more heartfelt than the standard card on the shelf… something I would want to receive on the day I lost one of my own.

Digger, my first soul dog. Dodger, my first rescue boy. Petra, our sweet senior and first foster fail. Each of them touched my life in ways I could never fully put into words.

These cards are for the people who know losing a pet means losing family. A small way to say: your grief is seen, your love mattered, and they will always be worth remembering.

What a weekend at Live Freely Fest 🤍

We kicked things off with a pretty special visitor — adoptable Blair stopped by the show to say hi (and obviously I had to sneak in some love).

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth, said hi, picked up a piece of my art, or supported my little business in any way. Seeing so many of my paintings out in the world as prints, cards, stickers, pet bandanas and thoughtful goods will never not feel a little surreal.

And thank you to everyone behind Live Freely Fest for putting together such an incredible event.

It was such a great weekend and so much fun to be a part of it alongside so many talented makers and small businesses.

Every purchase, conversation, follow and bit of support means more than you know. Thank you for showing up, shopping small, and making the weekend such a good one.

And if Blair happened to steal your heart while you were there… she’s still looking for her forever home. 🐾

Sometimes all you need is a good friend to show you the world isn't so scary. 🩷

Meet Leila — a beautiful 2½-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who may need a little time to feel comfortable, but once she does, the playful, affectionate girl underneath absolutely shines.

I watched that transformation happen right in front of me on our Take Me Home Tuesday adventure. Leila started the day a little unsure, exploring PetSmart and showing off her perfect patio manners at Laney & Lu. Then I brought in a special guest: my dog Jeffrey, a Pope Memorial alum and professional good boy. 🥹

The difference was incredible.

Jeffrey showed her the water wasn't so scary, and before long Leila was following him right in. By the end of our walk, she was confidently leading the way home — and once they were off leash in my backyard, the zoomies came out. That smile said EVERYTHING.

Leila loves other dogs and would love a canine companion to help her continue building confidence. She prefers a home without cats and would do best with older children. Give this girl a little patience and reassurance, and you'll be rewarded with kisses, snuggles, playtime, and one incredibly special best friend.

A huge thank you to our friends at PetSmart and Laney & Lu for welcoming Leila and giving her the space and kindness she needed to experience something new.

Some dogs give away their love instantly… others save it for people that they trust most. 🩷

Meet Arya.

This beautiful 4½-year-old girl takes a little time to get to know you, but once she trusts you, her whole world opens up. The tail starts wagging, the kisses come out, and she’ll happily lean into every butt scratch she can get. Watching her confidence grow throughout the day was one of my favorite Take Me Home Tuesday adventures yet.

We started with a peaceful walk by the bay, where Arya loved exploring the trails, watching the boats, and even wandered right into the water to cool off. Then it was off to PetSmart, where she picked out her own toy and a pretty flower for her collar before making some new friends. We finished our adventure exploring downtown Portsmouth, enjoying a pup cup, and ending the day with plenty of snuggles back at my house… where Arya completely melted into cuddle mode.

A huge thank you to our friends at for helping Arya pick out her new toy and flower, and to for the pup cup that made her day. Every stop along these field trips helps our shelter dogs build confidence and gives them a chance to show the world who they really are.

Arya is looking for a home where she can be your one and only pet. She has experience with children, loves adventures, rides beautifully in the car, and will reward your patience with a lifetime of loyalty and love.

Some orders are more than just artwork.

Every memorial portrait that leaves my studio represents a life that was deeply loved and a bond that will never be forgotten. It's truly an honor to create these pieces, and I want every package to feel just as thoughtful as the portrait inside.

Each memorial portrait is carefully wrapped by hand and includes a handwritten note along with one of my pet sympathy cards… a small way of letting my clients know how grateful I am that they trusted me with such a meaningful piece.

Some dogs win you over with endless energy... Marlee wins you over with the sweetest wagging tail and the gentlest heart. 🩷🐾

This beautiful girl is just under 2 years old, just under 50 pounds, and looking for a family to call her own. She may take new things in at her own pace, but once she feels comfortable, she’s affectionate, playful, and happiest simply being with her people.

From visiting our friends at Dover Marine, to picking out her very own Lamb Chop and frosted treat at PetSmart, to lunch at Laney & Lu and a rainy afternoon adventure, Marlee showed me just how special she is. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides great in the car, knows her basic commands, and has the sweetest little heart-shaped marking on her nose to match the beautiful heart she carries inside.

A huge thank you to , , and for welcoming Marlee with so much kindness. Every stop along these field trips helps our shelter dogs build confidence, meet new people, and get one step closer to finding the families they deserve.

Marlee would love to be your one and only pet, where she can soak up all the love for herself.

PUPDATE: Ryatt was adopted!

Ryatt is the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere he goes. 💙🐾

This almost 4-year-old sweetheart is one big hunk of love with the happiest smile and the gentlest soul. From making new friends at Pet Supplies Plus to getting spoiled at Dover Meineke and charming everyone at Tri City Subaru, Ryatt spent the day soaking up pets, treats, sunshine, and all the love he could get.

He rides great in the car, loves a good adventure, and somehow manages to be both a playful goofball and a 70 lb lap dog. Ryatt is affectionate, social, treat motivated, and happiest when he’s close to his people. He’s great with other dogs, did amazing meeting everyone throughout the day, and would make the perfect patio buddy this summer. ☀️

One thing is for sure… everyone who meets Ryatt falls in love with him. 💙
