Hello and Happy September, Homestead Friends! What a wonderful summer we have had at The Hartzell Homestead! I love the 'BER' months (not the burrr months tho)! I'm already thinking of all things fall: decorating the house and shop, the tasty treats, and the cooler days! However, it looks like Arkansas weather is going to hold on to summer as long as she can!
Our September calendar of events and workshops is listed below. Please note, we will be CLOSED on Saturday, September 5th for Labor Day Weekend.

Our monthly Sewing Day will be a fun one, featuring multiple projects focused on handmade kitchen gifts including a bag keeper, bowl covers, and more! Shelby has another fun Foundation Paper Piecing workshop this month (always FPP beginner-friendly), AND Gracie is teaching her new tote bag pattern, The Mae Tote!
We are incredibly excited about our upcoming Autumn In The Country Retreats! The first dates filled up quickly, SEW we decided to open a second retreat! Foundation Paper Piecing with Shelby, Saturday, September 19th, 11:00 am,
$40 per person
Shelby is excited to share her love for Foundation Paper Piecing in a monthly beginner-friendly FPP workshop! Since it's National Jelly Roll Day, she decided this month will feature a braid technique using your favorite Jelly Roll Strips!
Each participant will receive a full roll of braiding paper and instructions.
Participants must provide their own Jelly Roll -- pull from your stash or purchase in-store that day (pssstt...they're on sale that day)

Each month, I'll be sharing resources and ideas to help make your Bible Journaling and Creative Worship routine easy, portable, and engaging! Bring your own Bible, journal, coloring pencils/pens, etc., if you'd like.
The Mae Tote workshop with Gracie, Saturday, September 26th, 11:00 am,
$60 per person
Gracie is excited to teach her new tote pattern, The Mae Tote, in this month's workshop! This is a great beginner-friendly tote project that utilizes those beautiful fabrics we don't want to cut into smaller pieces! And a quick and easy handle!
Project supplies are included in the workshop fee. Gracie will have a variety of fabric options to choose from!

We grow our Etsy shop weekly with new arrivals and shop listings! If you don't live close enough to shop in person, please browse our Etsy shop for beautiful fabric and more! Creative Gatherings
Creative Gatherings at The Hartzell Homestead are a wonderfully fun & crafty way to spend time with friends and family! If you are interested in planning a paint party, Bible Journaling Workshop, Friendship Quilting Bees, or a crafting workshop for your group, please contact us! We'd love to help you plan and host a memorable event! Small groups (up to 20 people) may be hosted in the shop in our new gathering room OR if you have a larger group, we are happy to come to you!
