It's common for barbershop choruses to have some members with past chorus affiliations or dual memberships or other loose connections to other barbershop choruses. We like to think that Forward Harmony is different in that when we were formed, we purposely set up our rehearsal schedules to be every other Sunday night - allowing and encouraging our members to have their participation in Forward not conflict with other barbershop choruses who tend to meet on a weeknight. As a result, the vast majority of our members are also in other choruses.

As we prepare for our performance in St. Louis, we'd like to share with you this year's version of our "family tree." In addition to Forward, our members represent 13 other barbershop choruses in the Barbershop Harmony Society and Sweet Adelines International (now known as SingUnited International). So here's our shout-out to our brothers in the Greendale Chapter, Midwest Vocal Express, as well as the other 12 choruses that those of us who will be singing in St. Louis next month call "home":

It's been a four-year whirlwind since Forward Harmony was created in the summer of 2022 as an all-voice chorus in the Greendale, WI Chapter. As we get ready for our fourth straight appearance at the Barbershop Harmony Society international convention this year, we look back today and celebrate our first appearance on the international stage in Louisville 2023. We can't wait to see all our barbershop friends in St. Louis in just a few weeks!

It's Pride Month! 🌈💈

Although we won't be performing our "rainbow" set on the international stage this year, we're still proud to embrace rainbows as part of our identity, as we are a chorus full of allies as well several LGBTQIA+ singers and parents or siblings of LGBTQIA+ people.

Forward Harmony had the privilege tonight of being the first ever barbershop ensemble to be coached in the state of Wisconsin by Terry Ludwig of the Sound of Illinois Chorus. We had a fabulous night and he gave us great insights and improvements as we prepare for our appearance in St. Louis in just over 4 weeks. Thanks, Terry! 💈🎶

Forward Harmony salutes the two choruses who include Forward members who were recognized on the Region 3 Sweet Adelines contest stage yesterday:
Riverport Chorus - Audience Choice Bravo Award winner
Crosstown Harmony Chorus - 3rd place mid-size chorus & 5th place overall
Our chapter risers were also used for the contest, so we thank Derek, Chip & Tyler for helping out our sisters in song on that front. Here's -most- of our members who attended the weekend (four of us missed the photo opp - oh well!). FOUR-ward!!!
