Douglas County Historical Society The Douglas County Historical strives to bring together those people interested in knowing and preserving the rich history of Douglas County, Georgia.

The Douglas County Historical Society was established in 1989 with 61 charter members. The purpose of the Society is to bring together those people interested in knowing and preserving the rich history of Douglas County. The Society meets each month from September through November and January through May on the third Sunday at 3 p.m. Meetings are currently held at the Cultural Arts Council on Campbellton Street, Douglasville, Georgia where we are a satellite organization of the Council.
