We can’t wait to welcome you all on Saturday. Please exercise safety and remember that the Dothan Civic Center has a Clear Bag Policy in effect. Please prepare accordingly.

✅ You may bring:
• Clear purses
• Clear diaper bags
• Clear medical bags
• Clear backpacks
• A small wallet no larger than 4.5” x 5” inside your clear bag

⚠️ Medical device bags do NOT have to be clear, but they will need to be opened and inspected upon entry.

The incomparable Mrs. Mary Hayes of Dothan, AL will lead the Parade this year. To know her is to know a true defender of Civil Rights and Voting Rights. Her commitment to serving her community with love and truth is second to none. She is a PROUD African American woman and EVERYONE’S SHERO! Congratulations Mrs. Mary!!!

🎉🎉🎉Last night was EPIC and pictures are coming but in the meantime meet the 2026 GAMBA WARRIOR, The Mrs. Lilly Flowers. The fighter was unanimously chosen because of her commitment as the Executive Director of The Exchange Center to standing up against violence against children and others!

In a time where predatorship and injustice is rearing its head, she and her incredible team are standing firm in opposition. We are honored to have her as this year’s Warrior Queen (GAMBA), and second seat in the Juneteenth Parade! Congratulations Lilly!!!

🎉SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are so pleased to announce our 2026 Juneteenth Parade Celebrity Ambassador as Sean Freeman. Freeman, a Wiregrass Native, is a prominent television star and currently known for his starring role in Beyond the Gates, the history making soap opera on CBS!

Freeman will not only star in the Parade along with our Grand Marshal and Gamba, but will also have a Meet and Greet inside the Dothan Civic Center from 11:00am-1:00pm!

All roads lead to the kickoff parade in Dothan!

PARADE & CELEBRATION: We are preparing for the first Saturday in June!!!! Make plans to attend and let’s kickoff Juneteenth the right way!!! Kickoff the party with your favorite DJs of Good Times Entertainment, remember how far we’ve come with Original Freedom Singer Rutha Mae Harris, and dive into African Dance with Djoli Kelen, Inc!

Vendors and food trucks will be onsite and we’re keeping you hydrated with Coke products!!!

☀️Use the schedule as a guide, and in the event of inclement weather, everything will move indoors.

🎉Events will be taking place all month long in surrounding areas with community organizations so make plans to support LOCAL.
