Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced their new roller coaster for 2027 last night. Werewolf Gorge will be the world's longest family launch coaster at 4,120 feet and will feature four launches. The ride environment will be completely themed and the queue line will take you through the Museum of Cryptids and Werewolf Museum. Six Flags is calling this a "story-driven thrill experience" that will put riders in the center of the story itself.
This is a huge step in the right direction for Six Flags and I hope that we will see something like this in the future at Kings Dominion.
Here's some cool stats about Werewolf Gorge...
- Four launches that propel the train through quarry walls and dense pine groves
- A 40-foot drop and 85-foot elevation change integrated into the terrain-driven layout
- 32 floater airtime moments, delivering a dynamic and weightless ride experience
- Near-miss moments with towering werewolf figures and immersive scenic elements
- A climactic finale through a crumbling quarry structure filled with shadowy movement and glowing eyes
