We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, and played a part in making the Holiday Craft Celebration at the Harriet Tubman Freedom Center such a joyful success. Your energy, creativity, and community spirit filled the Center with warmth and holiday cheer!

A special heartfelt thank-you to all our volunteers, artists, parents, and children who helped bring each craft station to life — from the Tubman Trail ornaments to the burlap dolls, pinecones, and oyster-shell creations. You made the day unforgettable. ❤️

This week, Alex Green of Harriet Tubman Tours and the Harriet Tubman Freedom Center had the honor of sharing the powerful connections between Harriet Tubman’s legacy, maritime history, and climate change with students from American University in Washington, D.C.

Together, we explored how Maryland’s waterways and landscapes continue to reveal untold stories of resilience and adaptation—lessons that are more relevant than ever in today’s changing climate.
