Loops & ‘Lore is a free, interactive music and poetry experience where the audience can shape an original, site-specific composition. Poet Jean Dany Joachim moves through the gathering with theme-based prompts that spark personal storytelling and poetic expression. Participants can also select from a menu of sounds from live instruments or vocal styling. Composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Chibuzo Dunun captures and layers every contribution in real time using a loop station, building a living piece that reflects the voices and experiences of everyone present

Akili Jamal Haynes a.k.a. Chibuzo Dunun at the Cambridge Senior Center in Central Square. Down the street from and across from

if you are an adult 60 years and over, you can become a member of the Cambridge Senior Center.

This is a beautiful facility where you can enjoy educational programs like this one, participate in community games and classes, socialize, and enjoy meals with like-minded individuals from your community.

This program is supported by a grant from Cambridge Arts, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Registration is required.
