Dorchfest Dorchester's first porch music festival is back for year five! 6/6/26 in Ashmont-Adams neighborhood. See you there. Get ready for Dorchfest on June 4, 2022!

Dorchfest is similar to the other Porchfest celebrations around the country. Musicians and bands from around Boston assemble on neighborhood porches and play 15-, 30- or 45-minute sets. Neighborhood residents and visitors can walk a specified route to hear a variety of musical acts, converse with neighbors, visit local businesses and enjoy the day in Dorchester. Dorchfest is focused on presenting

a range of musical styles, particularly those that reflect the diversity of Boston’s largest neighborhood. These styles range from jazz, pop and reggae to music from Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, the West Indies and Latin America. In addition to music, Dorchfest includes dance and spoken word artistry. Dorchfest involves area kids by featuring child musicians, writers and dancers. Dorchfest is free to attend, and nothing is for sale at the event! It’s a fun day for people of all ages.

In less than 24 hours, the porches, patios, and public spaces of Ashmont-Adams will come alive with music, art, food, and community.
More than 60 bands and activity providers. Dozens of stages. Local food vendors. Family activities. Thousands of neighbors and visitors exploring the neighborhood on foot.
Events like Dorchfest don’t happen by accident. They happen because neighbors open their homes, volunteers give their time, sponsors invest in the community, and elected leaders believe that public spaces, local businesses, arts, and civic life matter.
A special thank you to the elected officials for helping make Dorchfest possible and for their continued support of Dorchester’s neighborhoods, small businesses, and community events.

This is it, friends. The full Dorchfest 2026 lineup has arrived. 🎶🏡
On Saturday, June 6, more than 60 bands, performers, activities, and community experiences will transform the Ashmont-Adams neighborhood into one giant celebration of music, creativity, and connection.
From rock bands to folk singers, jazz ensembles to youth performers, family activities to local food vendors, there is truly something for everyone. Wander the neighborhood, discover a new favorite artist, visit local businesses, reconnect with neighbors, and experience the magic that happens when a community comes together.
Dorchfest is free, family-friendly, and powered by hundreds of volunteers, porch hosts, performers, sponsors, and supporters who believe that great neighborhoods are built one conversation, one song, and one porch at a time.
