🌙👻 Spooky Goodnight Story 👻🌙

As the clock struck midnight, the house fell silent… except for the faint sound of whispering behind the walls. 😨 Amber tried to convince herself it was just the wind — until she heard her name. Softly at first… then louder.

“Amber… come play…”

Her phone flickered. The reflection in the dark screen wasn’t hers — it smiled back when she didn’t. 😱 She dropped it, heart racing, as the whispers grew closer.

Then, the lights went out.

They say if you listen closely enough at night, you can still hear her phone buzzing from the floor… unanswered. 📱💀

Goodnight… if you dare. 😈💤

I didn’t realize anything was wrong until the footsteps started matching mine.

I was walking down my hallway, half-asleep, when I heard a second set behind me… soft, careful, like they were trying not to be heard. When I stopped, they stopped. When I breathed in, something behind me breathed out.

I turned on the hallway light.
Nothing.

But the air felt crowded.

Later that night, I woke up to the sound of those same footsteps—inside my bedroom this time. Slow. Dragging. Getting closer to my bed.
I pulled the blanket over my head and held my breath.

Then the mattress dipped… like something heavy had sat down right beside me.

A cold fingertip slid across my ankle.
And a voice I didn’t recognize whispered:

“You should’ve run when I first followed you.”

I turned on the lamp—no one there.
But my blankets were still pressed down… like something was waiting to sit back up.

And now the footsteps follow me no matter where I go.

Have you ever heard a random voice?

Years ago we lived in a new home so I'm not sure if it was on the land or what, but we came back from buying a new dishwasher. It was myself, my (now ex) husband and both of our kids, no one in the house. As soon as we get the dishwasher in we hear "Hello?" like we were invading their space. He ran one way to see if someone was there and I ran the other for the pewpew. No one was there. It will forever be burned into my memory.
