The Dance HALL Academy

The Dance HALL Academy A small family oriented dance studio in Ware Shoals. We teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Clogging, Pom and Hip-Hop.

We put Christ first in everything we do and we always dance from our hearts. We believe that dance is a gift that God has given to us to worship him and celebrate our lives with. Dance like no one is watching!

The Dance HALL Academy is hosting a dance camp this spring break!

March 30- April 3

We will have two separate classes

Ages 5-12- students will have fun in several different styles of dance. Class will be held from 9-10:30 and cost $40 for the week

Ages 13-18- students will learn a musical theater dance as well as other combos. Class will be held from 10:30-11:15 and cost $20 for the week.

It is with a heavy heart that Mrs Mary Beth has decided to temporarily close the Dance HALL Academy. With the recent health complications of her youngest child along with other difficult circumstances the studio will take a break for the current season. Mary Beth loves her studio and students but knows in the current condition she could not give them the attention they need. The studio is a tight knit family and this was a very difficult decision. Mary Beth hopes that by January she would be able to host a few camps/classes with a full reopening next school year. When we do reopen the studio will be bigger and offer more classes and art styles. This is not goodbye but a see you later.

15 days until Competition

It has been a season of STRUGGLES for myself but also every member of our competition team. We've lost loved ones, had a coach have to leave to take care of family, MULTIPLE serious injuries to feet and knees in activities outside of the studio, lost members due to family issues causing us to reblock and change choreography on top of my serious health issues that kept in me in a chair just watching.

In January when I hit the second trimester and was more sick and not better I was ready to call our whole competition season and just focus on our recital. My girls, and Judah, knew they could do it though. Multiple people stepped up to help and our older students took my verbal instructions and put them to movement when I certainly couldn't.

We are the little team that could this year and I'm beyond proud of the hard work. We agreed to step back and punt, only taking 4 dances instead of our usual 12-15. God has worked through this studio since we opened but I was VERY aware of His presence this year.

15 days until competition weekend at Expressions Dance Competition in Columbia and I'm pumped. The little team that could has put blood, sweat and TEARS into pushing these last 3 months and they are ready to represent our town and their studio. They do NOT give up even when the storms are raging and I'm excited to see the flowers that bloom through their perseverance.
