ART ON THE PLAINS ART CONTEST Carnegie Center for the Arts 701 N. 2nd Ave. Dodge City, KS 67801 620-225-6388

#1:Entry fee is $35.00 Per piece, limit of 3 entries. Non-refundable. Only original work is accepted. Size of canvas should not exceed 24 x 24, unless special arrangements are made. Work must be framed and ready to hang. ‘Gallery frame’ is acceptable if done neatly. Tags are to be attached to the back of your work. If painting is for sale, please tell us the price. Paperwork must be filled out and signed.
As this is a historical building we must hang paintings from a picture railing system.
#2: Deadline for entries is noon on Saturday the 16th of August.
#3: The reception, exhibit, and announcing of the winners will be done during Final Friday, August 29. Beginning at 5:30pm and lasting until 7:00pm. It would be very nice to have your presence. The exhibit will end on Saturday, the 20th of September. Please pick up your work then.
#4: Judges are to remain anonymous; but are highly regarded professionals in the Art field.
#5: Professional and Amateur divisions. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in both are awarded. Others are Best of Show, People’s Choice Award, Trotter’s Choice and Honorable mentions. Last year there was $3,000.00 in prize money given away.
#6: Pay out of both prize money and any purchases will be mailed out on October 15th. We need to make sure all fees, sponsors money, and purchase funds have been collected first, so that we can then pay all of you.
