It's almost here! Our opening reception for All the World's A Stage is this Friday, Aug. 28, 6-8 p.m. Free admission. This show is in partnership and is sponsored by The Dixon: Historic Theatre! They will have a display at the front of the gallery.

🔨 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗟𝗢𝗙𝗧? 🔨

Renovations at TNPS are about 80% complete, and apparently we have our own highly skilled demolition crew. 😎

Advisory Board member 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙨𝙤𝙣 and Board member 𝙂𝙚𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙝𝙚𝙡 have been hard at work helping transform the back of the gallery—including making that second-floor loft completely disappear. P**f! 🪄

We’re making great progress and plan to 𝗿𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗔𝘂𝗴. 𝟮𝟲 (10 am to 4 pm), just in time for the first day of 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘞𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥’𝘴 𝘢 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘨𝘦 exhibition! https://www.nextpictureshow.org/event/all-the-worlds-a-stage-exhibition/2026-08-26/

The Next Picture Show is now accepting entries for 𝗔𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲, a juried exhibition celebrating the people, places, and experiences that deserve the spotlight. From theater and live performance to hometown landmarks, sweeping landscapes, and quiet moments in nature—show us what belongs on your stage.

✨ 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: The Dixon Purchase Award, selected by the staff of The Dixon: Historic Theatre, will be awarded to one artwork offered for sale.

There are inaccuracies in some of the threads to our original thread about the gallery temporary closing.

This is Jayne Rose. I have been appointed as Interim Director while Chance Munroe is out for medical reasons. I will be here on and off Wed-Fridays. If you are an artist wanting to pick up your art from the Abstract Show, make an appointment first to ensure that I will be here to help you out. DO NOT USE the back door. Front door only. We have renovation materials that will be in the way and make it unsafe to use that door.

FOR CLASSES, we are still open for those, but use the FRONT DOOR. Your instructor has access codes to that door to let you in.

Our TNPS board has decided to close the gallery until the end of August for planned renovations that have put off for too long. Taking classes, those will continue as scheduled. Our next art exhibit is "All the World's A Stage" at the end of Aug. We will be adding the application to our site soon.
