I grew up on a farm near Amboy, Illinois where I learned to love the beautiful rural landscapes, flowers and animals. inois University in Art Education. I am a retired art teacher and enjoyed teaching art for thirty years. Therefore, I learned to work in almost all media. I did a one-woman show as part of the fulfillment for my master’s degree in weaving. My focus was on how the use of color can drastically change the look and even design of artwork, in that case, hand woven fabric yardages. My love and interest in color has carried through all of my work since then as I moved from weaving to watercolor painting, to ink and watercolor to stained glass, to silk painting and finally to my current obsession, acrylic painting. Working in each media has affected my approach to painting and helped my technical skills to continue to develop and grow. Education:

I have been awarded numerous awards at many local art shows over the years as well as in the Green Lake, WI. art show; including the award for “Best Floral” at the Phidian Art Show in Dixon, IL several times. Products:
