Not to be dramatic, but we are seeking show sponsors for the 2026-27 Season!

Behind every great performance, there is a community that made it happen.

Your support makes a HUGE difference!

For the past 6 years, the theatre program at Dickson Middle School has grown strong - performing musicals, large-scale plays, and live radio shows. Our school theatre program isn’t just about putting on a show. It’s where future leaders find their voice, artists build confidence, and students find a place to belong.

Building these productions takes resources. From scripts and costumes to lumber and lighting, your business sponsorship keeps our ticket prices affordable and our program growing.

When you partner with us, you’re not just donating. You’re putting your business front and center for thousands of local families and community members.

Rehearsals are underway for Newsies Jr. here at DMS!

📰📰 📰
It sure is hard to keep your head down when you’re a scrappy, loud-mouthed newsie with dreams bigger than the headlines you’re hawking! But our ragtag band of street-smart kids gives it their all as they dance, sing, and strike their way through Newsies Jr., the high-energy, toe-tapping musical sensation based on the real-life 1899 newsboy strike that shook New York City. This time around, our pint-sized publishers encounter a dreamy-eyed leader with a gift for rallying the troops; a fierce, sharp-tongued reporter determined to tell their story; a newspaper tycoon more interested in his bottom line than the kids breaking their backs to sell his papers; a tyrannical right-hand man who’d rather crack skulls than crack a smile; and a colorful cast of street kids with nicknames like Crutchie, Specs, and Romeo, whose loyalty is as strong as their Brooklyn accents. Combine them with show-stopping choreography, powerhouse vocals, and more heart than you can fit in a headline, and you’ve got an inspiring romp through the streets of old New York you won’t soon forget! 📰📰📰

ALL students need art in their lives!

Be sure to check out all of the opportunities to participate in the Arts at DMS during Open House on Thursday!

As we prepare for Back to School, it's a great time to think about the importance of the arts in schools.

Based on research focused on Tennessee Public Schools, students who participate in arts education experience various academic benefits. In literacy, 47% of these students achieve proficiency, compared to the schoolwide average of 36%. Similarly, in mathematics, 46% of arts education students reach proficiency, while the schoolwide average is 35%. (Face The Music)

Please support the arts teachers in your schools.
