It’s closing weekend for our DCHS Cougars and their production of GREASE!!! 🎭

🎟️ $5 tickets TONIGHT
📍 DCHS
⏰ 7 PM

If you are a DMS Theatre student and want to go tonight we will meet in the DCHS auditorium lobby at 6:30 and will pay for tickets and enter as a group. We will sit together in the theatre as well.

Summary: Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys’ and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as “Greased Lightnin’,” “It’s Raining on Prom Night” and “Alone at the Drive-In Movie,” recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions, place Grease among the world’s most popular musicals.

CONTENT ADVISORY - PG: Coming-of-age story that contains mild language and violence, instances of drinking and smoking, and a teen pregnancy scare. Please use your judgment based on your own research of the show, your own sensibilities, and a child’s age and maturity level.

Let’s pack the house and show up big for this incredible cast! You seriously don’t want to miss it 💙🔥

It sure is hard to be humble when you’re a swashbuckling, egocentric super-hero. 🏹 But our gallant guy-in-green tries his best as he swaggers through The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood by Mary Lynn Dobson, a frantically funny, Monty Pythonesque retelling of the classic. This time around, the legendary legend, in his never-ending quest to aid the needy, encounters a lovely damsel-in-distress (oddly obsessed with skin conditions); an ever-scheming sheriff who would rather bowl a strike 🎳 than hit a bull’s-eye🎯; a gold-hoarding, bad-guy monarch wannabe; and a good-natured “Town’s Guy” who manages to make his way into every scene, whether he belongs there or not. Combine them with an expandable band of spoon-wielding Merry Men whose collective IQs equal six, and you’ve got an irreverent jaunt through Sherwood Forest you won’t soon forget! 🏹🏹🏹
