All of this cool, Fall weather and some new Covenhoven music has made us want to play some of the older Covenhoven songs we love. Here's Dylan playing "The Wild and Free".

Dylan just got a new stomp box and is testing it out while practicing some of our songs.

One of my favorite songs of all time, Michigan by The Milk Carton Kids. This song is always on the favorites playlist, but it hits especially hard on snowy days like today. Do yourself a wonderful favor and go listen to the original (https://youtu.be/WEDnGAvjQXw).

We meant to share this last evening. Sorry! Here's a couple of not live songs to hold you over until our next live performance.

DSquared Music

Hello! Welcome to DSquared Music. First of all, the name. Where did it come from? Our names! Dylan and Darrah = DSquared. The name became even more fitting when we got married so now we both have the initials D.S.

So, who are we? Read below to find out! Dylan - I grew up in Yankton, South Dakota near the Missouri River. Growing up, I was interested in sports (specifically baseball), science, and music. In 5th grade, I started learning trumpet and playing in school band. In 2011, I got my first guitar and started taking lessons. I continued playing trumpet and guitar through college. Speaking of education, that’s what I do for a living! I got a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Wildlife Biology, and now I teach STEM to middle schoolers Dickinson Middle School. Darrah - I grew up in Ottawa, Kansas. While growing up, I was a swimmer, played trumpet like Dylan, played piano, and was always fascinated by fossils. I also have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, one in Geology the other in Paleontology. My full-time job is as the fossil preparator at the museum here in Dickinson.

Along with science and music, we are also passionate about board games. We try to play at least one game together every night, and it has led to some of the greatest friendships and moments of our time together.

We hope you enjoy the music we play as much as we enjoy playing it for you.
