Behind the Scenes at Markoff’s Haunted Forest

Ever wonder how the nightmares come to life? This time we’re pulling back the curtain with Griffin Terry, one of the talented artists behind the terrifying details that make Markoff’s Haunted Forest unlike any other haunt.

In this behind-the-scenes feature, Griffin walks us through the art of creating incredibly realistic shrunken heads—from sculpting and painting to the final gruesome details. One of his favorite tricks? A tiny dab of Gorilla Glue to keep the eyes looking permanently wet, giving each creation an unsettlingly lifelike stare that follows you through the darkness.

It’s the passion, creativity, and craftsmanship of artists like Griffin that transform simple materials into unforgettable scares.
