🎵 Raspberry Bell (Malinovyy Zvon) — the soul of Russian song! ❤️
Through half-dream and slumber, we hear this tender ringing… A heartfelt hit by Nikolai Gnatyuk that touches every heart. It’s a song about love for our land, childhood memories, bright bells at dawn, and clusters of rowan berries - warm, bright, and so deeply familiar.

June 23 — Balalaika Day! In honor of this holiday, we decided to tell you about various string instruments of the peoples of Russia — the brightest and most distinctive ones.

🐻 Balalaika
The main string symbol of Russia. Its triangular body and characteristic “ringing” sound make it recognizable all over the world. The instrument has come a long way from folk festivities to big concert halls and has become the hallmark of Russian musical culture.

🫎 Mari Gusli
One of the most ancient string instruments of the Eastern Slavs. Its sound is mentioned in chronicles and epic tales.

🦅 Khomus (jaw harp) of the Yakut people
A small metal instrument that is held between the lips and set in motion by the tongue and breath. The khomus is capable of producing mesmerizing vibrating sounds and is closely connected with the ritual traditions of Yakutia.

🐴 Chatkhan (Khakas string instrument)
A long wooden box with stretched strings, played in a sitting position. The chatkhan traditionally accompanies Khakas throat singing and is considered the “voice of the ancestors” in the local culture.
