The Cannon Theatre is a small intimate black box style non-profit community theater, seating 75.

The mission of The Cannon Theatre is to serve the community by offering a wide range of theatrical experiences and productions that benefit and entertain. We welcome audiences and artists of all ages to learn and grow in a fun, collaborative environment.

We now have SIGNUPS for this fun audition! Make sure your child gets signed up for a date, either Sept. 10 at 4:30 pm or Sept. 12 at 2:00 pm. They will be expected to be there the whole time. Thank you!

Also, note that our Director is Tara Tremblett, our Producer is Madi Crory, our Choreographer is Erin Maher, amd our stage manager is Kaitlyn Scott. We are currently looking for a new Music Director, if anyone knows of someone? Please have them email Shawn at [email protected].

ANNOUNCING AUDITIONS for our next kids/teen musical, "Once Upon a One More Time"! Sept. 10 at 4:30 pm and Sept. 12 at 2:00 pm.

Powered by the chart-topping hits of the undisputed Princess of Pop, a group of friends goes on a quest to rewrite their stories and redefine “happily ever after.” Once Upon a One More Time weaves 23 of Britney Spears’ smash singles—like “Crazy,” “Oops!…I Did It Again,” “Circus,” “Lucky,” and “Toxic”—into “a big, modern, musical dance party, with Britney’s beating heart at its core”

**Come to the audition prepared for a cold read from the script and be prepared to learn a song for the audition.
There is a fee to be in this show. The fee is $450.00, paid by the second rehearsal. You may also set up a payment schedule, if needs be. There are also scholarships available! PLEASE contact Maren at [email protected] for the paperwork and more info.
Rehearsals will be on Thurs.'s at 4:00-7:00 pm only and then have Saturday rehearsals in January.

The show dates are Jan. 29, Feb. 5, 6 at 7:00 pm and
Jan. 30, 31, Feb. 7 at 2:00 pm.

We are doing "Once Upon a One More Time", the Britney Spears Musical for our Fall/Winter kids/teen show, and need a Music Director asap!! Ours had something else come up, and she will no longer be around, so we are desperately looking for a talented musician who loves to work with kids and teens between ages 9 and 18.

The auditions will be on Sept 10 and 12, with rehearsals starting on Sept. 17, and continuing on Thurs.'s from 4-7:00 pm, until January where we will also have some Sat. rehearsals. Please contact Shawn, one of the Producers at [email protected]. There is a stipend available.

Another STELLAR kids/teen musical, The Club Cabana has come to an end. So. Much. Talent!! 23 kids between 9 and 17 brought the house down this past weekend, after only two weeks of rehearsal. 1940s music, dance, costumes, hair and makeup took every one back to that golden time.

What a spectacular group of kids and teens we had this year! Watch for an audition announcement this week, for our Fall/Winter kids and teens musical, Once Upon a One More Time, with music by Britney Spears! Its going to be a fun time!

Tickets are NOW ON SALE for this fun summer kids/teen musical, The Club Cabana! This story is about girls trying to make it big in Hollywood in the late 1940s and the different people they meet and work with. Lots of amazing characters with 1940s costumes, hair, music, dance and even that fun lingo! Step back in time and enjoy this amazing musical for all ages! Only TWO PERFORMANCES! Thurs., Aug. 6 at 4:00 pm and Friday, Aug. 7 at 7:00 pm.

As part of our selection process for our 2027-2028 season, The Cannon Theatre is now accepting submissions from directors! We are also evaluating a selection of plays in parallel, for which we may seek directors later in the year.

For the 2027-2028 season we are looking for either comedies or classic plays,
NOT MUSICALS.

To make a submission, please consult Requirements for a Show Proposal for important information about our needs, fill out the show proposal form, and return it to [email protected]. Please also attach a resume indicating your directorial experience.
