- My First Ever Photography Gallery -

Another friendly reminder that next Saturday, September 12 from 7-11pm Whiskey Taco Foxtrot, I’ll be hosting a photography gallery of some of my favorite images! After years of grinding through all sorts of circumstances to create some of my favorite bucket list shots, I’m happy to be able to share some of my favorite captured moments with you all.

All images will be framed and available for purchase at the event. From the streets and landscapes of Detroit, to NYC, and all the way to the National Parks of the West Coast, there’s visuals that everyone can enjoy and buy!

Also to enjoy, will be some of the best crafted tacos and margaritas I’ve ever had! There’s no cover, which gives no obligation to your wallet outside of buying some of the best food and drink around. Prints purchased will be going home with buyers that very evening!

If you have any questions, please feel free to message me for further details. I hope to see some of you for the first time in a long time or a short time. Let’s go! 🙌🏻🥳🎉

*images in this post will all be available for purchase*

~Sunset colors riding the waves, painting a canvas that put me in a haze~

Something about this sunset was calling to me. I was sitting in my beach chair, enjoying a nice lazy beach sesh, when I just had a notion to pick up my camera and walk into the water. Next thing I know I’m waste deep in the ocean, dodging waves. I pull up my camera and the view was almost too perfect to capture.

The waves were just soaking in the red and orange color as the sun threw one last spectacle before it settled in for the night. As mesmerized as I was, this photo really does capture how I felt in the moment, locked into a gaze with the sun through the viewfinder of my camera.

~One last kiss of golden light. Sea shells and stars naturally placed just right~

Another Florida moment that was too perfect to not capture. While out walking the beach at sunset, I came across this picturesque micro beach scene perfectly showcasing this sea star. You can see its movement path still in the sand in the upper right. Just one of those little scenes that encompasses what I think of when the beach comes to mind.

~Vibrant ocean shore sunsets. Mother Nature letting me know she wasn’t done just yet~

This was my first true Florida sunset that I’ve had the chance to capture. We walked this coastline until just the right time, allowing me to time up the sun right before it dipped below these clouds, creating an oh so colorful spectacle. I’m glad I was able to see and capture the kind of views people move down here to witness non stop.

This was a trip to relax and reset this spring, but that doesn’t mean my camera can’t come along for the ride to capture the perfect moment if it presented itself. I was able to capture a large handful of moments that showcase this trip, enjoy!

~Sunsets that burn into your brain, washing your worries away and right down the drain~

Some sights bring an absolute shutdown to day to day thoughts. They cut off service to everything else the second you step in front of them. A demand from Mother Nature, pushing you to enjoy life’s great escapes the way they were intended to do so.

These places wait for us over and over again. Never changing. Giving us one of the only constants that truly still exist in this world. The mountains are always calling but they’re also always patiently waiting. Waiting with a singular and ever true cure to all of our woes.

~Special meals in special places. All I can remember is the smiles on our faces~

Not one of my typical shots to post. But a shot from my camera none the less. This photo captures the reason we went on this trip to Colorado last summer. This trip was to see new places, feel new feelings, and eat the same favorite home cooked meals with my favorite person.

This was our first night in our mountain yurt a bit south of Aspen. No service, no tv, no WiFi. Nothing but the perfect setting to enjoy good company with the perfect views. Erika made us spaghetti, and it was honestly the best spaghetti I’ve ever had. Same recipe, but a unique place having endless fun with someone makes any good meal taste even better. I miss this place and this evening so very much!

~Water running through the canyons, never stopping till reaching a final destination~

This waterfall was tucked into the canyon off the side of the road in remote country of Colorado. No service and no distractions, just endless scenery and unexpected views around every corner.

It’s fun when a river isn’t too tall or fast moving, because it allows me to put my tripod right in the middle of the river. This allows for some really fun long exposures that really capture the flow of the water down and through all of these rocks.

~The old and the new, contrasting in harmony to create this iconic corner view~

Detroit has a lot of great angles to capture the variety and history of architecture this city proudly boasts. This building on the corner has always stuck out to me with the Ally buildings gothic tips in the backdrop. The chalk “Bar” sign gives a nostalgic presence that makes this feel like a timeless spot.

~Closing doors. Following the vivid light to open more~

This alley in Detroit is a great spot for good visuals. Rustic features combined with street art, casted by the glow of a banner of painted glass above that’s getting hit by the sun at just the right time. One of the best parts of photography is being in just the right place at just the right time. Luck is simply timing and patience paying off.

~A fresh slice of sunny delight~

Getting slices of hard light like this are always great, but especially great when getting to pair it with this rustic water tower and the GM building. This little scene is one of my favorites in the city.

It’s been a blast teaching so many people the art of photography in Detroit the past couple of years. I’ve gotten to grow as a photographer myself while also watching a lot of people turn into great photographers as well from the ground up.
