Join us **Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 12 PM–7 PM** for a full day of art, culture, shopping, food, entertainment and community along Detroit’s historic **Livernois Avenue of Fashion**.

This is more than a gallery event — **businesses throughout the Livernois corridor are participating!** As you travel the Avenue, stop in and discover the special activities, displays, shopping, food, vendors and experiences being offered by participating businesses.

Livernois also has an incredible art legacy. **Jo’s Gallery, MAC Galleries, Eric’s I’ve Been Framed and Sherwood Forest Art Gallery have each been on the Livernois corridor for more than 30 years.** They will be joined by **The Felle Gallery, Art in Motion and other participating Livernois businesses** as we celebrate the past, present and future of this historic Detroit district.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us at Jo's Gallery for this month's Memory Café!

It was wonderful to spend the day creating, connecting, and building community together. Guests enjoyed a hands-on crafting experience complete with art supplies, delicious food, music, and meaningful conversation all in a welcoming space where everyone could slow down, express themselves, and make new memories.

We're so grateful to everyone who came out and helped make this gathering so special. Your creativity, laughter, and presence are what make the Memory Café such a meaningful experience.

If you missed this one, don't worry! Memory Café takes place every fourth Saturday of the month at JOS Gallery, and we'd love to see you at the next gathering. Be sure to follow us and keep an eye out for upcoming events—we have so much more in store!

🎷 Jazz on the Ave 2026 Is Coming to Livernois!

Join us on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a full day of music, culture, cars, shopping, food and family fun along the historic Livernois Avenue of Fashion—from Six Mile to Eight Mile Road!

Enjoy live jazz performances, including featured saxophonist James Carter, plus fashion shows, local art displays, food trucks, specialty vendors, a citywide marching band, Caribbean performances and activities for all ages.

🚘 Don’t miss the 7th Annual Classic Car Gathering next to Jo’s Gallery at Outer Drive and Livernois. Classic cars will begin staging at 3:00 PM, followed by the parade of cars and floats at 4:00 PM.

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra will offer children an opportunity to explore different musical instruments, and the Shriners will be on-site with free food, live entertainment, go-karts, horses and more.

🎨 Memory Café: Neurological Art

Flow, Memory & Creative Connection

Join us for a relaxing and engaging afternoon of creativity at Jo’s Gallery Café with guest artist, educator, and curator Marta Carvajal.

Marta will guide participants through Neurological Art, a creative process inspired by flowing neural pathways. Using lines, colors, markers, and inks, participants will create vibrant abstract artwork while enjoying relaxation, self-expression, conversation, and connection.

This workshop is designed for individuals experiencing memory changes, caregivers, family members, friends, and community members. Activities can be adapted to different cognitive and physical abilities, and no artistic experience is required.
