✨ 13 Years of Art in Motion ✨
Some seasons ask more of you than others, and this one asked plenty!
The door opened every day. People walked in, sat down, put their hands in clay, and looked up smiling. That has been a source of constant joy! 🏺
Year 13 was a year of trying things. We tried our drop-in series and brought art therapy into the studio.
We also held onto what we already knew was good. Valentine's Day, Sweetest Day, couples on the wheel. Summer Potter's Camp, where wheel throwing filled up so fast we added an afternoon session to make room for everybody who wanted in. 💫
The highlight, though, was NCECA. I came back full, and what stayed with me was who I ran into there. My former student got me registered. My former intern moderated a panel. And I closed out the conference by opening an artist who taught his very first sculpture class right here at Art in Motion over ten years ago. Thirteen years of people coming through these doors, and now I'm meeting them out in the world doing the thing. 💙
Thirteen years of this. Every hand, every heart, every piece of clay that has come through these doors.
Thank you for walking with us. Here's to 13, and to whatever we build next. 🗿
