Fine Art Fair

Fine Art Fair The Fine Art Fair (formerly hpFAF) features Detroit's best local artists and musicians, is community focused, & volunteer run. See more at detroitfaf.com

Profits help those in need through COE1. The Detroit Fine Art Fair (FAF) is a local, community focused, volunteer run event based on the principle that there is no dividing line between suburb and city; that city and suburb are intertwined and impact eachother’s outcome; they are interconnected. It is the mission of the FAF to stabilize not just the city this event is held in, but the region as a

whole. The FAF intends to do this by affecting substantial change through education and promoting art which, through its very nature of creativity, leads to new ideas. Artists are known to revitalize communities through innovations, problem solving, and ultimately economic growth through the creation of new technologies and jobs, which have the potential to stabilize Detroit and its surroundings. With a third year budget of only $4,412.58, The Fine Art Fair funds both community education via college scholarships while offering low booth fees to artists so that they may continue to focus on art which ultimately stabilizes and improves Detroit. Your support will allow the FAF to continue our mission. We are NOT hosting our art fair event this year. (Julie F + The Old Miami)

I repeat, NO event of ours!

A scammer is sending out a call for art, asking for booth fees. It's FRAUDULENT.

Anyone posting as us is a FRAUD. Do not send them fee money. It's a SCAM.

Report other profiles posting as organizing or hosting the Detroit Fine Art Fair. They are scammers.

Stay cool out there. Keep arting.

Carry on.

Anyone with an old steel frame art fair tent, do you lubricate, or oil, it? What do you do to protect the legs from rusting when it rains at an event?

Tips and tricks, please, and thanks!

The dFAF for 2019 budget has been closed out, yay! I proudly announce this years donation to COE1 of $264.45 (which would have been almost twice more if not for the shortfall from 2017 that we just finally caught up on - see budget note, link below). Great work everyone. I'm looking forward to next years donation being closer to $500+.

Here's the budget link, with all the previous years linked back from it, if you're curious. It's all publicly viewable with 100% transparency. Please let me know if there are any errors, so I can fix them, thanks! I'm a staff of one on this, LOL, and I do my best.
