She came over and asked what was my activity. I shared with her and she had never done one and said I’ll be right back. As promised, she came back and sat. I kept looking at her, recognizing her face but not knowing a name. She asked for my information, said she enjoyed the experience and my professionalism. Then she told me who she was. And said, “I’ll be in touch”. I had no idea, I told her I recognized her face.

I enjoy meeting the different families and introducing many to vision boards. The wind was extremely high yesterday and we had flying pictures and boards. I always take notice to the ones who take their time to create. I know the experience has sparked something within. Ronald Brown and Hutchinson Elementary were our two stops on yesterday. I had a special person sit at my table and do a vision board too.

I’m grateful to have Vision Boards return for Summer on the Block 2026 with DPSCD. We will hit 18 schools throughout the district on Thursday’s this summer. I look forward to meeting families. Come stop by my table and create you a mini-vision board. And make sure we take a picture.
