We are thrilled to welcome back to foxglove. Part of our stellar line up at our Movement Party last year, TORIBIO brings such positive energy.

Dominican-American musician, producer, and DJ who can ignite any venue, TORIBIO is a genuine devotee to the craft of blending genres and creating transformative sonic experiences that move both body AND spirit. A lifelong student of rhythm (drummer & multi-instrumentalist), he weaves jazz, soul, house, techno and Afro-Latin sounds into seamless journeys that honor the connective & healing power of music.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Toribio is the musical cartographer of his live house fusion band Conclave, whose debut album earned acclaim from Resident Advisor, Rolling Stone, and the New Yorker. His DJ sets have graced stages from Boiler Room to Glastonbury, and shared bills with legends like Masters at Work and Theo Parrish.

Through Brooklyn block parties his imprint B.D.A., and deep listening experiences like Sala Sessions, Toribio cultivates communities where music becomes medicine. A TORIBIO show is a full-body experience—as he always says, “bring dat ass, and your feet will follow.”

Tomorrow! We are so excited for Cye Pie to join us, Rain or shine!

Cye Pie is a Detroit-Born storyteller of various mediums who’s been moving booties and feet in the city and beyond since 2012. Cye Pie curates their sets with an unapologetic and hyperfeminine touch with the goal for the collective to get present in the body. As a dedicated vinyl selector and performing artist, they are deeply inspired by nostalgia; the black pop girls of the 99’s and 2000’s, all things funky, and the rich legacy of Detroit’s musical roots. Cye Pie has approached their sets with a spirit of play and exploration which act as an invitation for listeners to intentionally join in on the journey. Free self and meet Cye Pie there.

Tickets available on our website and RA, links in bio.

Fun fact! While not intentionally planned at all, cofounder of Foxglove, Erika’s great grandpa, Dean Crapo, worked at the site of our Foxglove and Friends Mvmt Day Party this Saturday way back before it was the Annex art gallery in the 1940s/50s when it was Robbins Engineering Co, located at 315 Midland.

Dean’s job title in 1950 was “Experimental Engineering Supervisor – Jet Propulsion”. The company’s main business was manufacturing jet engine rotors and related components - cutting edge technology at the time! 🚀 🔥 🌬️

This Saturday 3 generations of Erika’s family will be at the event! We encourage you to also bring your siblings, parents, children, grandparents! It’s a family affair 💜

Joining us in 3 days is - a composer combining Yiddish archival practice and electronic club music. She weaves archival Yiddish audio with techno and ambient frameworks, creating hybrid folk-electronic compositions that situate ancestral sound within global and liberatory rave culture. In live
performance, she brings together accordion, vocals, and samples, inviting audiences to engage with ritual and the echoes of ancestral memory.

Chaia was raised in the klezmer tradition and mentored by Yiddish music pioneers Hankus Netsky, Jeff Warschauer, and Basya Schechter. She now works closely with Yiddish archives to identify, highlight, and catalog Yiddish material for her electronic work.

Midday Saturday will shake things up, and look absolutely fabulous doing it. If you need some inspiration for what to wear or the energy to bring, look no further.

PBH is a first-generation Kenyan-American DJ, cultural archivist, and visual artist. She is recognized as one of Detroit’s most dynamic rising forces in nightlife. Detroit Metro Times dubbed her “the empress of booty-bouncing, funky, and tropical dance beats hailing from the African diaspora.”

She approaches the decks with an open-format philosophy in a scene that has historically favored genre purity over range. Her sets draw from every corner of the world’s dancefloor traditions, not as meaningless eclecticism but as someone who hears these sounds as one interconnected conversation. She was championing these sounds in clubs before anyone else and did it while building rooms where vibrant and joyful femininity was the foundation. 🌟 💜 🍓

What makes PBH undeniable is the total package. The selections are world-class. The visual identity — vibrant, expressive, and unmistakable — commands any stage. She builds rooms where Black, q***r, and femme audiences are the center of gravity while everyone is openly welcome.

A couple of weeks ago we happened to be out and about and randomly decided to stop at . To our surprise they were having a fabulous event - the 3rd Annual

We have a soft spot for all things printmaking and ended up purchasing some amazing works by .studio.mi and Melissa Dettloff (co-founder of )

Inspired by some of the art we saw and purchased, we decided to try to make our own!

To encourage that same spontaneity to go out to that coffee shop or brewery you haven’t been to in a minute, we’ve scattered some of our first prints around town along with our event flyer. (More going out this week) They are free for the taking, we just ask that you post a photo and tag us and the local business you found it at. 😊 There will be more polished versions of these prints available for sale at the event on May 23rd + we are going to have a DIY tote bag tent for you to print/make your own.

Happy exploring.
