Tues the 11th and 18th from 7-8:30pm at Play House (12657 Moran). These sessions are guided physical, vocal, and imaginative explorations done in a group and focused on building skills great for performers, art makers, radical humans and more. No performance experience necessary, and all abilities welcome. Qs?DM! Come to one session or both, and bring a friend!
Sliding scale payment $0-$30 based on economic need.

The Hinterlands original performance Will You Miss Me?at Play House:A haunting song echoing across the holler draws a traveler into a funeral service for one of many white workers who moved from Appalachia to Detroit in the last century.

Thurs., Feb 29th from 7-9pm at Play House is LEAP NIGHT 3: dance films curated by arts writer and curator Matthew Piper () in its third quadrennial installment. Nine exceptional and rarely-screened short films made by a diverse array of choreographers, dancers, and visual artists: innovative and invigorating experiments in dance and film art that revel in the camera’s ability to liberate dance (and the spectator) from the everyday constraints of time and space. Doors at 7:00. Films presented in a continuous 1.5 hour screening. Free (donations very welcome!). If you miss this one, you’ll have to wait until 2028 for the next round….
Featured artists in this year’s program include Biba Bell (), Rena Butler (), Donald C. Shorter, Jr. (), Preeti Vasudevan (.preeti), Nicola Cernovich, Katherine Litz, Charles Atlas, Karole Armitage, and more

So excited for this support to bring our performance "Will You Miss Me?" to Philadelphia Community Farm in Osceola, WI co-presented by our good friends Open Flame Theatre!

103 Midwestern organizations have received a total of $375,000 through the 2024 GIG Fund, a grant program from Arts Midwest. These awards will help organizations present artists and educational events in their community.
