30 days of Detroit design starts here✨
Join us September 3 as we kick off the 16th annual Detroit Month of Design with a night of design, art, music, making + community in Little Village.

Start at the River Trail for the offical Opening Celebration with live music, hands-on activities, free portraits, screenprinting, watercolor, block prints, treats + more!

Then, make your way through the neighborhood to explore open studios, exhibitions + special programming on the Little Village Design Crawl. Reconvene at Father Forgive Me for the after party to close out the night.

The hands-on product design workshop is an opportunity experience inclusive product design. Learn to concept, prototype & build adaptive products for athletes in the limb-loss community alongside experts, end-users & design enthusiasts.

Community-centered design is one of Detroit’s greatest strengths.

Every September, the Detroit Month of Design provides a platform for neighborhood leaders, grassroots organizations, local entrepreneurs, and designers to share ideas, build connections, and imagine new possibilities for our collective future.

That work is only possible because of partners who believe design should be accessible, collaborative, and rooted in community. We’re grateful to the Gilbert Family Foundation for helping make these neighborhood-led events possible and for investing in the people shaping Detroit’s future.

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back this September for another month of conversations, collaborations, and Detroit design.

Our final Drinks by Design of 2026 lit up for an an immersive evening of lighting design, sound installations, projection art, exhibitions, music, food & creative energy.
