A beautiful summer evening of music at Shepard Park!

Detroit Opera joined the City of Oak Park Concert Series for Opera in the Park, featuring performances by soprano Brianna Robinson, mezzo-soprano Veena Akama-Makia, tenor Travis Williams, and pianist John Etsell, with Arthur White as host.

Thank you to everyone who gathered with us in Oak Park to share an evening of opera, community, and music under the open sky.

In partnership with Yamaha Pianos, Detroit Opera will host its fourth annual piano sale at the Detroit Opera House on September 11, 12, and 13. This appointment-only event features more than 200 new and gently used pianos available for purchase, filling the main lobby and Detroit Opera mainstage.

Whether you are selecting a first instrument, upgrading for a growing musician, or searching for a performance-quality piano, this special sale offers the opportunity to bring music home while supporting the Detroit Opera piano loan program.

Guests who attend the piano sale may also enter a drawing to win a free pair of tickets to one of Detroit Opera’s 26/27 opera season productions.
