its been a good run but its looking like org will be closing after our april show. thanks to everybody that supported the space. thanks to the artist that have shown with us in the last year. ~Chris

Happy New Year from org! We will be taking the month of January off to plan and regroup, and kicking off 2010 with a show by New York artist collective Cornrow Rider. More details to come in mid-January.

We’re very excited about our interview with Detroit artist Lauren Rice. Lauren’s collages and installations will be shown at Org Contemporary in a solo show titled “Vestiges”. The opening is this Friday, December 11 from 7-9 pm.

Org took part in a panel discussion last night at the UMMA in Ann Arbor on the state and future of art galleries in the Detroit and Metro Detroit areas. One thing that everyone agreed upon...Detroit needs some arts writing. Whether it be a blog, zine, pamphlet...who's ready to step up and head the charge?

REPOST: Org Contemporary is now accepting proposals for the 2010 season
Org Contemporary Gallery is now accepting proposals for solo and two
person exhibitions for the 2010 season. Interested artists should send
a minimum 5 images in .jpeg format with corresponding image list, a one
page written proposal, and a resume/artist statement. The deadline for
submissions is December 31st, 2009. Send all applicable materials to
[email protected] or visit www.orgcontemporary.com for more information.
