Every summer we hire and train dozens of lifeguards and pool staff to meet the demands of our four pools. These individuals work diligently each shift. Sometimes this can be difficult, especially in the hot weather. We have certainly had some hot days this summer!
The aquatics department looks for ways to encourage employees and keep them engaged. This year they've incorporated a Culture Committee to create a space for employees to connect. This has been a tremendous boost to our aquatics team as they've been able to participate in some fun activities outside of their paid roles.
1. Staff Appreciation party at Mystic for all Aquatic Staff with food and games
2. Guard games for any guards that wanted to participate
3. National Lifeguard Day- popsicles
4. Manager Outing at Go Ape
5. Spirit Week that ranged from Tie Dye (staff picked a day to tie dye together), Crazy Hat Day, Pink Day, Sports Day, and Hawaiian Day.
As summer comes to a close we want to acknowledge these individuals. We appreciate the leadership we've seen and the dedication to serving the community all season long.
