So hard to believe the Iowa State Fair has been over for a week. Many thanks to The Bud Tent - Iowa State Fair for believing in Mentor Iowa for the 5th year in a row to provide all of the volunteer "beertenders" to help serve delicious beverages to all of the Bud Tent patrons.
So thankful for the Bud Tent management, staff and patrons for being so generous to Mentor Iowa! We are waiting to hear from a few more matching funds programs to announce our final total raised from this wonderful opportunity.
We also want to thank the 200 plus volunteers who stepped up for Mentor Iowa by being "beertenders" for this fundraiser. Several of them worked multiple shifts to support Mentor Iowa while having fun at the same time.
Special thanks to the "Maestro" Danielle Blaylock for helping our 21 shifts run smoothly while our volunteers were helping at The Bud Tent - Iowa State Fair. We truly appreciate her patience, guidance and support during each day of the fair and educating everyone on all of the ins and outs of being a great "beertender" for the Bud Tent! Mentor Iowa is excited to announce we have been asked to be the "beertenders" for the Bud Tent in 2027! Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!
