DSM Dance Party DJs is growing. Meet DJ Dray.

Rooted in Hahnville, Louisiana and now based in Des Moines, Dray brings something our roster has never had before -- a decade of international touring as part of a five-piece Zydeco Creole band, with collaborations spanning folk, blues, African, Spanish, Irish, and Scottish music.

Her specialty is R&B, rap, hip hop, EDM, and swing out and two-step. Her sets carry a Southern energy that is entirely her own.

Sound, Rhythm and Soul. Welcome to the team, Dray.

Most DJ companies do a few types of events really well and fake the rest.

We built a roster of 12 DJs specifically so we don't have to fake anything.

Weddings. Prom. Corporate galas. Quinceañeras. Nightclub nights. Reunions. Fundraisers. Sports events. Church dances. Bar Mitzvahs. Private parties. Graduation celebrations.

We've got a specialist for every one of them — and a new blog post that breaks down exactly what we bring to each event type, and which DSM DJs own which categories.

Prom nights hit different. 🎶 Getting to be the soundtrack to one of the biggest nights of these kids' lives is something I never take for granted. Waukee Community School District you showed UP. Thanks for having me!

P.S. The Des Moines Register caught the whole thing — go check out the photos! 📸

See Waukee students celebrate prom on Saturday, April 18 at Vibrant Music Hall.
