The time has come! Below is the final course-entertainment line up for the IMT Des Moines Marathon tomorrow morning.
There were some fires I had to fight today, but I put them out, and we are golden! I'm going to enjoy my final race day as the entertainment director, a position I've had such a pleasure and an honor fulfilling. It's hard to say goodbye after 15 years, but the timing feels right. I am excited to figure out my next adventure, after I relax just a little first. 🙂

I hope you can come check out some of our awesome entertainment tomorrow. The course is 26.2 miles long, folks.

I'm up early on race day, so I'm going to get to bed so I'm rested and ready to enjoy the day! If you see me, flag me down and give me a hug! One of the fun parts of race day for me is getting to see so many friends along the course.

Ok, local Des Moines’ bands and lovers of live music, Music Mama is back! I’m super excited to announce my booking partnership with Robert K Tolson Jr! We’ll be booking the live music for a very cool new spot called Hickman Pub & Grill. Yes, on Hickman, near the Bucs arena and the old Kmart. 😊 Robert and I will each draw bands from our respective and collective music networks, and join other awesome local establishments by showcasing the incredible talent we have in our beautiful city! In the next week or so, I plan to share more information with you about this new venue, and I’m confident musicians are very much going to enjoy playing here. It’s a special spot! Right now we’re doing some planning, to make the experience as fantastic for the musicians as it will be for your fans and followers! You know how much I love supporting local, including businesses and musicians, and I’ve got the best of both worlds! And I get to continue working with some downright amazing musicians (aka people 😊), my incredible business partner, Robert, and the awesome bar owners, Troy and David. Whether you’re a musician or a music lover, I can’t wait to see you there soon! You all have been so supportive of me, and I hope you know how much I appreciate and love you.
