September is National Recovery Month 💜

Recovery is more than overcoming substance use—it’s rebuilding lives, restoring relationships, finding purpose, and discovering that you don’t have to do any of it alone.

This month, we celebrate every person in recovery, honor those still finding their way, and recognize the families, friends, professionals, and communities who walk beside them.

At the Recovery Festival, we believe connection matters. Community matters. And every recovery story deserves to be celebrated.

✨ Recovery is possible. Hope is real. Community makes us stronger.

Join us September 19 at Riverview Park in Des Moines as we come together to celebrate recovery and remind our community what recovery can look like. 💜

Today, on International Overdose Awareness Day, we remember the lives lost, stand beside those who carry their loss, and remind our community that every life matters. 💜

Overdose does not define a person, and addiction does not erase someone’s worth. We believe in compassion over judgment, support over stigma, and hope through recovery.

At this year’s Recovery Festival, we’ll end the evening with our Luminary Memorial, honoring and remembering those we have lost to addiction and overdose. 🕯️💜

Today, we join millions in remembering the one and only Dolly Parton. 🤍

Dolly spent her life reminding the world of something the recovery community knows well: where you come from does not determine where you can go.

Through her music, generosity, faith and compassion for others, she gave people hope and used her success to lift others up.

The world lost an icon today, but the hope and kindness she poured into it will live on.

always remember: you are loved, you belong, and you never have to walk this road alone. 🫶🏼🫂
