From punk pioneer to reggae soul! 🧠 H.R. (Bad Brains), presented by Dangerous Entertainment, is coming to GalaxyCon Des Moines!

Meet Paul "HR" Hudson, best known as the frontman for the iconic punk band “Bad Brains.” Early in his career, after seeing Bob Marley in concert, HR became interested in reggae and the Rastafarian movement. These pursuits transformed him, and he began to focus more on the spiritual nature of reggae than the fast lifestyle of the punk scene. Deeply inspired in 1984, he formed the Human Rights band with his brother.

With unprecedented speed and precision, “Bad Brains” took the Washington, DC music scene by storm and quickly became one of the most influential bands in American punk history. They created music centered around closing the racial divide and maintaining a positive mental attitude (PMA), a message that continues to inspire fans today.

From the stage to the script! 🎤 Tyler Wood is coming to GalaxyCon Des Moines!

Meet Tyler Wood, a comedian, writer, and voice artist currently living in Raleigh, NC. He's been performing his crisply written, witty stand-up comedy at comedy clubs, alt venues, and nerd conventions since 2013. His nerdy, goofy style of comedy reminds audiences of a taller, hairier Seth Rogen. (He gets that a lot.) Over the years, he has brought his comedic performances to 10 comedy festivals, over 20 nerd conventions, and has performed in 15+ states. He has written professionally for several YouTube channels, including as a contract writer for YouTube icon MrBeast.
