todays pop up shop was a super special. during set up we were joined by young folks in the neighborhood.

they asked if they could give input on our set up. they asked if they could sell along side us. they asked if they could “hold a stack and get flicked up”.

we counted cash and practiced our mental math. we made beautiful pictures with scented markers. we made very little sells but enough to buy skittles at the corner store. which means we made magic.

their is power is saying yes to young folks. there is power in making space. there is power in community. there is power in poetry. there is power in SAY. today. and every day. 🤍

last night we had something to say and said something. last night we were truth. last night we were light. last night we were wide open and weeping. last night we made community. last night we wrote ourselves into a new reality. last night we made magic.

something super sad and special has been happening to and around our org for over two years now. for the first time we are really taking space to talk about it. I hope you can attend. I hope you will listen. as we begin again.

!!TODAY!! is Serving All Youth first solo showcase. we are very excited to share with you. we will be showcasing alumni artists, as well as current students. and the mentors will end the show with reading excerpts from our new chap book. it will be a night of love and truth. we really hope to see you! please use the link to purchase your tickets. ❤
