My best friend, my first apprentice, my brother came to the shop yesterday and put a new fan in the bathroom and the new vanity lights… and started the hookups for the recessed lighting and front window lights! I helped as much as I could and he showed me how to hook the rest up so I can do it while he’s not here lol and I got all the vents fixed, cut the new ceiling tiles, raised the ceiling on my side an 8th a inch(sounds ocd, isn’t ocd it needed it or I wouldn’t be able to fit the lighting and have enough gap for the lighting to do anything lol) all and all It was a productive day!

This is what I’ll be doing all freaking day tomorrow… since I built my own crown molding out of a 2x6 I had to cut a mil...

This is what I’ll be doing all freaking day tomorrow… since I built my own crown molding out of a 2x6 I had to cut a millon little triangles out of a 2x4 for the mounting brackets, I have to pre drill the holes so they don’t split and to make sure they are all uniform I made a little jig which will also make the process go quicker and be safer/more stable because I’m still going to need my fingers and hands when this place gets done! 🤣 ✌🏼

So among the many things I did yesterday I finally got up in the ceiling tiles where the vents are to see what is going on with this water damage before I replace them and paint. Found the issue… the idiot hvac guys didn’t put the fl**ge on the outside of the tile, which caused it to fill with condensation and didn’t tape the third side so half the air has been shooting across the top of the tiles creating more water damage. It’s ok. I’ll fix it. Since apparently I know more about hvac than the guys that do it professionally. Must be because of the amount of time I’ve known and how much I’ve learned by subconsciously hearing him talk business or maybe it’s just the fact that my common sense is at 1000. I wonder how much the owner spent on roof repairs because they thought the roof was leaking… 🤔 😂
