Spooky season is here already, and so is this next performer! You can catch Morticia Midwest a week from today at xBk Live with Rhythm & Pep, and then the following Friday with us.

Morticia Midwest has been charming the living (and the dead) on stage since her graduation from FlashForce University in 2022. She puts the O in “Ope!” with her combination of classic burlesque with a flair for the macabre that will have you…dying for more. She does it all in the burlesque community with style and a little bit of spook - performing classic, neo, and chanteuse, producing shows like the Panic! at the burlesque show and other pop up themed shows, photographing live shows and styled shoots, teaching marketing and personal branding classes, and graphic design for shows and performers alike.

She is the sweet & spicy ghoul next door. Serving up a hot dish from hell, she’s just as likely to give you a bouquet of headless roses as she is to introduce you to her man-eating plant. Her looks might kill, but she’ll dance on your grave and bring you back from the dead.Those aren’t butterflies in your stomach, they definitely bats

T - 14 days until Poppy Ambrosia's *DEBUT*!! This new burlesquer has been in our audiences and adored our scene for quite a while, and it's time for her to take the stahe.

Poppy will make you dream things you never thought possible! Bubbly and fun with a secret sultry side, be careful or this snack from the gods may leave you intoxicated.

Firstly, we have... Anita Sativa!!!

Anita Sativa is your new favorite strain and perfect kind of high. Located in Iowa City, Iowa, this q***r femme has performed all throughout the Midwest including Wickedest City Burlesque and Variety Festival in Davenport, Iowa and Mile High Burlesque Festival in Denver, Colorado. She was a nominee for The 2025 Silver Tusk Awards in the Stoner Laureate category and she is a co-producer of B***y B***y Ha Ha, Eastern Iowa's q***r focused and all gender inclusive burlesque community and local 501(c)(3) non-profit. This month's show is earlier than usual! In a little over 2 weeks, we'll be putting on a show with local and traveling talent. There will also be 2 debuts you don't want to miss 👀

Then, take advantage of your Saturday and go check out The Circus Bride at Cirque Wonderland! Many of the performers that have frequented our stage will be part of thay amazing experience, including co-producer Dame Denna Desire!

Romeo, Romeo… wherefore art thou? On the Dark Orchid stage, obviously.

Romeo DeMornay Sanchez; The Godfather of Decadence aka Mr Kneez, is a captivating male entertainer renowned for his eye catching moves that swoon the crowd. As a cast member of the Garden Restaurant and Show Lounge; he directs 2 shows; an all Kings Open Stage and Black & Boujee; an all Black casted show. Additionally Romeo is apart of Covered in Melanin an all Black casted show as well as the Saddle Kingz at the legendary Blazing Saddle. He is the current recipient of the Karina Samala Trans American award; the first person in Iowa to received such a an award. With his impressive schedule, he’s still got time to be a daddy ;)

A marauder in the water but a babe on stage. Fresh in port, Malcom McKeel is making waves as he sets sail for the stages of the midwest after graduating from Flash Force University in the spring of 2023 and completed grad school in 2025. Born under the Jolly Roger and raised amidst the salty air of the Seven Seas, Malcom's journey to the stage began on the rugged decks of a pirate ship. Known for his charismatic charm and fearless attitude, Malcom quickly rose through the ranks, earning a reputation as a dashing and daring pirate with a penchant for theatrics. This roguish jack of all trades meets your dark fantasies and he grimes up good. He’ll shiver your timbers and you’ll want to walk his plank, but remember who is in charge or you may get Keel-hauled. He is the Midwest Marauder: Malcom McKeel.
