Just wanted to quickly remind people that and I have 2 more Movement and Art workshops coming up at the . I love this gentle yoga/calligraphy class and hope you’ll join us.

P.S. I started working as a full-time special ed associate back in August. I love my new job but I’m taking a big step back from calligraphy until at least June. With the exception of a library workshop I have scheduled, this will probably be the last class I teach for a while!

It’s going to be a tough goodbye. Thanks to all of my wonderful Mainframe neighbors. Thanks to everyone who came to my classes. Thanks to and for being such great artist advocates.

Tomorrow, First Friday, I’ll be selling off some supplies and furniture, and I have some free bins as well.

This is a special place and I’m so happy to have been a part of it! Hope to see you tomorrow!

This week I was able to attend the first half of this year’s , which just happened to be at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa.

It was a chance to spend time with over 250(?) likeminded people, geeking out over serifs and spending lunch breaks talking about vellum.

I had the opportunity to take a class with , whose work I admire so much, and she was an inspiration. These photos are of my “final” project for her class, and back through the sketches leading up to it.

Thanks to the for putting in countless hours to make this conference happen this year!

I made some abstract calligraphic marks on tissue paper, then took them and created these amazing hanging sculptures for me.
I am absolutely thrilled, and my photos really don’t do them justice. Next step: hanging them in my studio. (The last shot is in Molly’s studio.)
