Hello everyone! We hope you all had a great Mardi Gras!! We are taking a poll and would like some feedback on something. After a great discussion at last weeks Board meeting, we are thinking of having 2 dances this parade season. This is our thoughts...... Ths first dance would be held sometime in September and we will have a DJ for this one. We would have a second dance, which wold be our regular dance in late January/Febuary to introduce our Court. This dance would have a band just like our usual Mardi Gras dances. We would to hear what everyone thinks. Due to increasing costs, the price of the tickets would increase to $20 per person. Happy Mardi Gras! From the looks of things this morning the spots along the route are filling up fast! Everyone come out tomorrow and enjoy a good parade with your family and friends! This years parade will be dedicated in memory of Mr. Stanley Keller! For his many years serving the Krewe of Des Allemands! See everyone tomorrow!

Our Parade is right around the corner!!! Any family or group interested in putting any type of homemade style vehicle pulled float, please attend our meeting this Thursday at the Des Allemands fire station at 7pm. Lets get as many floats in as possible to keep the tradition going!!

Attention All St Charles Parish Residents. 2013 may be the last year Des Allemands will hold its annual Parade and Dance. Due to the lack of support the parade itself is starting to falter. The parade is a prominent part of des Allemands and the town has been raised on its tradition. Future generations of the community will no longer have a parade to look forward to, therefor its time for us as a community to step up and save the parade. The Mardi Gras Dance is this Saturday at 9pm. Tickets are $15 per Person and the event will be held at the Father Mac Center of St Gertrude Church. Live music by Creole Soul. BYOB ***NO BOTTLES***. The Parade scheduled for this year will go on as planned. After that the Board will decide the future of the Parade. Those who have requested info on riding, we have not forgotten about you and it will be sent out this week. If you are interested in either the dance or parade please contact me via this page.
